Hi! I’m Kimberly Ritter, the
Director of Youth Ministries at Good Shepherd United Methodist Church.
I joined Good Shepherd in
December of 2007 and work with the middle school, junior high, and
senior high youth programs.
I love serving the Lord and
telling others of the incredible way that Christ loves each one of us.
I progressed into a relationship with the Lord at a very young age,
growing up in a Christian family, but the realization and excitement of
the sacrifice that Jesus Christ made for his people came when I was
seventeen years old on a mission trip in Weston, West Virginia. From
that moment on, I grew in my relationship with Christ and desired to
serve him with every part of my life. It is so exciting that Jesus
Christ loves me more than I can even comprehend, despite all of my human
faults!
When not working with the youth
at Good Shepherd, I attend seminary and enjoy “hanging out” with my
roommates and family. I am blessed to be surrounded by some amazing
people!
One of the scriptures that I
try to live by is Ephesians 3:20-21. “Now to him who is able to do
immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power
that is at work within us, to him be glory in the church and in Christ
Jesus throughout all generations, for ever and ever! Amen.” Just as
Paul wrote to the saints in Ephesus, Jesus Christ can do more in our
lives than we can even imagine…if we only allow him! I love the idea
that at any moment God may call us to do things that are beyond even our
biggest hopes and dreams!
